To DotA players...

This post is about Kill Rights in DotA...
I wish to know everyone's opinion on who should get the kill in the following scenario:

INT hero X and STR hero Y are allies, fighting the sole enemy Z
X engaged Z first and used 2 skills on Z and fought with Z 1 on 1, Y came later halfway through the battle and hit Z twice, Y did not use any skills nor take any damage while X took all the damage. When Z was about to die, a Morphling just waveformed in and killed Z.
X said Morphling KSed him while Y said Morphling KSed him.
X argued that the person who engaged the enemy first and did most of the fighting should get the kill. However, Y argued that the person who is able to (which means he can, but he did not) deal the most damage should get the kill, regardless of the other factors.

So, what do you think? Does X deserve the kill, or Y? Please vote at the poll section on the left. Thank you.

LOL I have been spinning pens too much recently, since I learned how to spin it around my thumb instead of just my index finger. Sometimes I don't pay attention in class, just look at the pen spinning on my hand, then I will go into this thoughtless state, like being hypnotised, and slowly close my eyes... and doze off.

Even as I was standing at the bus-stop today, my hand just went into the 'pen-spinning' posture automatically and I felt that there was a pen in my hand, but when my fingers moved then I realised it was just an illusion. Haha, I think that's what we call "habit is second nature"!

SHORT and SWEET

I WONDER if people know how to freaking CONTROL their freaking mouths, It's "chinese" not "china", you don't say "china man" or "china thing", u say " chinese...", AT THE VERY LEAST for the sake of using proper english? And Confucius is not funny, he is wise, wiser than those freaking CHILDISH halfbreeds in our society who have NO RESPECT, and I'm certain I will hold those people in CONTEMPT.

The RI Ultimate Spasm -- Rebellion During Test

Ya I did say I didn't intend to include those fun or funny posts in my blog but this one is too good to pass up.

You see, we have assembly as the last period on Tuesday and some people have 3rd language in the afternoon, I'm one of them. The last period ends at around 1.40pm and 3rd language class starts at 2.30pm. However, today all the sec 2 Rafflesians had to take a UNSW (University of New South Wales) test on computer studies, therefore our lunch time in between was just eaten up. Well the test was 45 mins long and we started at around 1.45pm, so it was supposed to end at 2.30pm.

The examination ground was at our school hall, much to our horror (actually maybe pleasure), there were only 2 invigilators, Mrs Chor (commonly called Aileen Chor) and Mr Lee, well the issue here is that our sole spotlight is on Mrs Chor (Applause). I think she is the only teacher whose lesson has a weird atmosphere, because she is strict (and she always scolds people randomly without any reason) but no one really cares, I don't know why.

So those people with various reasons, mainly 3rd language, spam all the answers and hand up the paper to go off early, unusually early. So Mrs Chor said, "Only those people who have 3rd lang can hand up early!" So immediately everyone said they have 3rd lang. Our lovely Mrs Chor discovered her mistake and said, "No one will hand up until the time is up!"
Did that work? A Bigger "No". Whenever she is at another side of the hall people would sneak up and dump their papers into the hand-up-box and they just run out of the hall! So Mrs Chor went walking around catching and scolding people who were repeatedly attempting to sneak up to the box, shouting, "SIT DOWN! SIT DOWN!" Then everyone in the hall clapped and cheered and imitated the way she normally did her shushing "shhhh", "shhh", it was so retarded but so hilarious.

(Hey there's actually a 'cut scene' somewhere in between I have forgotten where: Akshay and Dennis were playing their iPhone touch game but Mr Lee just walked past them and went to answer Ramu's question! Hah hah!)

Then she still kept us back even when it was already 2.40pm! So a few funny guys from my class started some commotion by pretending to talk to each other loudly, Dennis said, "Prakash, do you know it's 2.40?" Then Prakash and Dennis and Akshay carried on those sorts of protests. Then even the classes commitees standed up and started collecting the papers. Mrs Chor went to the left side of the hall and blocked people from exiting and slammed the doors shut, but people just went (and ran) out through the back and the right. I escaped from the right and the whole crowd were screaming and cheering. LOL, I learned that 2 teachers cannot keep an entire Horde from "rebelling". Bleh.

Well for those non-RI people who don't really get the situation, Mrs Chor is really our special case, that kind of our more 'exotic' teacher. You know. Well this post is purely for fun and not targeted at anyone, everyone would have had his teenage days going against the rules along with his buddies!

Can't ANYONE Understand?

I'm posting all these because I want to help all of you. You think that you don't need any help on anything; You think I have nothing better to do, coming here to write crap saying all of you are stupid; You think that im acting more matured than you, you are not happy with WHAT YOU THINK I'm doing.

Then go ahead.

I will just say what I want to say.

There's this person who likes to joke about his friends for fun, what must be admitted is that he is an entertaining friend. However, sometimes he overdo them, he goes over the other person's limit. But the other person always never got angry. One day they were playing a multiplayer game together. Halfway through the game the other person's mother scolded him (I'm not explaining why because it's not relevant), when he went back to the game with a very bad mood, the person who liked to joke said that the other person was useless just because he committed a mistake in the game. The other person couldn't take it anymore, he exploded in anger and started quarreling with the joker guy, childishly the joker guy took it for real and started quarreling, it was not even quarrel, just bunch of irrelevant crap being said. After some time the angry guy calmed down a bit, though being very disappointed of how his "friend" treated him, he tried to talk to his friend. The foolish joker guy went on saying crap about him, making him totally dismayed. Because he always thought that the joker guy, regardless of his joking habit, was different from his other friends who were not real friends.

But he was totally wrong. WRONG. "Too bad"?

Laugh at it. Try.

What would you have done if you were in the joker guy's position?

You think that the other guy is just a short-tempered bastard, you just don't recognise what you have done to him, but you just think you are right. "He IS useless. Don't be my friend if you don't want to, it doesn't matter to me, you think I need you so much? You think you're my mum? Trying to lecture me?" You continue scolding him with whatever rubbish you could think of. You tell him to shut up when he is trying to save the friendship.

You won't know if that person already has a mother who doesn't understand him; You won't know if that person already got degraded by his classmates enough just because of his country; You won't know how has he lived his years until now, not as comfortable and easy as you did; You won't know how much mental pressure has the person suffered.
But you can do you part by being nice and tolerant to people around you, ESPECIALLY your FRIENDS.

That person get upset so many times and stacked up in one single day, plus so many times more than people around him. I don't dare to say that the person's lifespan hasn't been reduced by a month.

What has it got to do with you?
One day, long after you let your emotion take over your friend's place; One day, when you start to realise those "friends" around you do not seem like friends anymore; And One day, when u recall you chose the "friend" who could help u win multiplayer games instead of the friend who was always ready to help you in times of need, only then will you regret, will you learn, will you understand me.

Try thinking about it, I'm really not acting that I am mighty wise.
Why do I know some things you didn't? The answer is, because I am from another country, because I'm from a single parent family, because I have to buy the same 2 dollar dinner every night while you eat dinner cooked by your mother or grandmother, because even my mother doesn't understand me. That's why. I don't think you would want all these just to be able to understand many things, but I sincerely wish you try.

It's time to start growing up, we're 14, and we should redefine the meaning of friends, we should find all we have lost from our naive days.

(This post is a reply to the author of the blog "critically-me". I have read many of Mr. S'bas Chen's posts on his blog about Raffles students, and I think the ever-increasing misunderstanding must be resolved.)

Hi Mr. S'bas Chen, I'm not sure whether to call u "mister" or not but since you are already working I reckon I should include this addressing as a form of politeness. I will try my best to sound friendly though some part of this post might seem argumentative, also I detest the usage of double entendre so you don't have to worry about any beat-around-the-bush statements.

You have brought up many points that really shocked me when I first read your blog. I am a secondary 2 RI student now, the secondary 1s you have mentioned in you blog since last year are actually the batch I am in. I know that you were very upset by the misbehaviour of the secondary 1 RI students at "Connect SG". I was sick on that day and I didn't turn up for the event, so I was not aware of what happened.

I remember there was an ex-school-counsellor who replied on your blog, in reponse to your dissension and unhappiness towards RI students, and he really made some good points, so I won't emphasise more on those. Well, this is not just a reply of apology, therefore I wish to raise some points too.

I would like to ask you: are you really sure that a student really heard "Waffles" when RI was doing their school cheer? Can you be certain that it really was Rafflesians' 'pride and arrogance' which made them protest things like 'see, neighbourhood schools'?

To tell the truth, I really don't see any difference between a RI student and a neighbourhood student. But, do you know what 'we Raffles people' did wrong? We did wrong for knowing a bit more than our primary schoolmates; We did wrong for getting a few more marks than our friends for PSLE; And we ultimately did wrong for entering RI as our secondary school. It is me who get stared at because of my white uniform when I return to my primary school on Teacher's Day, it is also me who walk with my head lowered when I encountered groups of neighbourhood school students.

I shall use an extract from the novel "To Kill A Mockingbird": "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view, until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." I will tell you some events which always happen to me, from my point of view. Online gaming is currently one of the easiest and fastest way to interact with other members of the community, and I have found that many people like to ask questions like 'which school are you from?' After I tell them they just shout right at my face things like 'bloody nerd', 'only knows how to study', 'get lost', 'I know that you are damned smart, stupid idiot', and even vulgarities, I also get kicked out of the game room because I am a Rafflesian. In real life too, people just say "RI la, 'smart' la", "eh RI, talk nerd leh, teach us maths leh", maybe I should also ask "What is this"?

All these would give a Rafflesian a mindset thinking people like to find trouble with him just because he is a Rafflesian. With a mindset like this, a Raffles student would definitely feel a great sense of retaliation when he hears someone calling Raffles 'Waffles', putting aside whether the person said it intentionally or not. By putting yourself in his shoes, don't some things just come to sense? He makes comments about another person's school because the other person insulted his school, now doesn't "see, neighbourhood school" sound more logical? And a Rafflesian would have said it in such a situation, if he didn't suppress his feelings at the moment.

I know that there are some people who are just irritating and disgusting with a bad character, I have seen a few of them in my school though I don't know them too well. However, I would also like you to know that the students have already lived for 12 years before entering RI! 12 years is long enough for one's family, one's environment and people around one to mold one's character into shape. What can character/moral education do to a person who already has a hardened character, not to mention in a year? The people whom I know well in RI are all good fellows, and it's we RI people who long to be treated just like how neighbourhood school students are treated.

Actually, I can't address those people with lousy character as just a group of Rafflesians, I should address them as a group of Singaporeans, because there are some people in different areas who possess wrong ideas and thoughts. This is not the focus of this post so I'm not emphasising on this.

I have also discovered that people have some incorrect impressions of RI: Our school motto is "Nurturing Leaders, Thinkers and Pioneers", not "The Only School Producing Leaders, Thinkers and Pioneers for Singapore". Not every one of us will be governing Singapore in the future, similarly not everyone from a neighbourhood school will never become a parliament member. For example, I am a Rafflesian and I dislike politics, many of us do.

I also remembered that you mentioned one of my batch mates called Goh Yon Lu, I went to check with him and he admitted that he did send a letter to you, but he really didn't mean to seem "high and mighty", maybe it was because he was just in secondary 1 and was not perfect in expressing his thoughts. But for one instance, those Rafflesians who had been flaming Mr. S'bas Chen's blog, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

To end off this long post, I still wish to apologize on behalf of Rafflesians if all these misunderstanding has brought you much trouble. I wish this post can clear all the misunderstandings. Please feel free to comment using the shout box.

You are human, I am human, Rafflesians are human, neighbourhood school students are human. We are of the same species, therefore schools and countries must not make us different. Don't you agree?
